New batch of vz58

My buddy and I each got new vz.58 today. The mag release is hitting the trigger guard, I seen people were having this same issue In another thread seems to be a problem with this batch of vz's. Just wondering what you guys were doing about it. Did any talk to north sylva about this or who ever does warranty?
 
ISHH... Bolt looks really bad, as if someone cleaned rust on it. I would send this picture to the vendor and try to get an exchange .
 
that to me looks like a bolt that has been through hundreds of rounds of corrosive ammo. northsylva has NO warranty as you will be dealing with george. good luck.
 
The price on VZ58's has gone up dramatically and the finish and quality has gone down beyond belief. It would seem that they are hitting the bottom of the bin for the surplus parts being recycled into the new production guns. I wanted one before, and should have gotten it, now with the new pricing............forget it

exactly. these guns are built on surplus parts.(internal) they have such a huge market here in Canada because no one here can own a ak today and some wanted to have the look so the 58/858s are flying off the shelf. I call them part guns as they have had their share of troubles and it seems the poor quality is the norm today.
 
Man Matt, that looks pretty crappy. Sorry to see that. If you get nowhere with a replacement under warranty etc, Dlask Arms may still have what you need. Haven't been up on their site for awhile. If you get a chance, can you post a pic of the mag release on the trigger guard?

CSA hasn't used surplus parts in years, from what I know. They're all new production rifles.

I have a spare bolt I can use but I want a new one. But ya they seem to not give a #### about quality control.

I talked to our good friend George this am. He sent me an email requesting some info and said he would start a claim ticket. So we'll see.
