On guns.com it is 1750 USD. But it might be hard to sell against 1301.2000USD is ~2800CAD. You can get a M4 for that price, or a 1301 loaded with bells and whistles. I agree with Painkillers that this is a hard sell.
The M2-G1's RPO system is a cut-down version of the ARGO: Benelli removed the auto-regulating valves and the self-cleaning design on the piston heads, the two things that made M4's ARGO legendary.
Beretta, on the other hand, still offers self-cleaning, auto-regulating gas pistons on every and all of their gas guns, starting from their cheapest (sub-$1000) A300 Outlander.
With price around 2000 usd that would an interesting choice between this and the M4.
Yes, exactly. Very much.Somehow the aesthetics remind me of the M4.
If the RPO system does away with the gas system O-ring, as seen in most gas operated semi shotguns and something of a weak point, then it might be interesting.
If not, I can't see any compelling reason to choose a 1301 or M4 over it.
O rings normally aren't problematic, but if one goes at the wrong time it's a pain. And on the M4 at least, they are appearantly prone to damage if the pistons are field stripped carelessly.Guessing you mean there is no compelling reason NOT to choose a 1301 or M4 over this new offering if the O ring design isn't superior?
I had an M4 and sold it as everything felt small on it (I am used to guns with 3.5" receivers which lend themselves better as competition guns with large loading ports etc etc) but it ran well.
I also have a Versamax with an ARGO-esque gas system that has O rings with thousands and thousands of rounds and never had an O ring failure so I wouldn't even factor that into my decision (YMMV).
I have an A400 and the gas system is very different on it but there is an O ring on the front side of where the piston seats. So far it has been solid (have a probably a couple of thousand rounds on it) but will see how it holds up in time.
