I dont care much for polymer pistols either. The DAO on the top and the compact on the bottom do nothing for me. The one in the center pic is sorta OK...what is with the silly rail cover? I think they are kinda like a 59 Cadillac...love it or hate it, and I am leaning to the latter.:D

the compact and the D model are photoshopped by a guy on BerettaForum.net, the gun is still metal, only the grips have changed. so it's still an aluminum frame, not plastic. They've improved it in my mind. They've also made it possible to switch between G and FS now on the slide.

A better idea than the Vertec. Also they've gotten rid of the hooked trigger guard, I never liked that. I'm somewhat tired of the rails being put on pistols, I know people want lights on their pistols for self-defence, which is what it's designed for, but for target shooting it's just an irritation.

I like the new slide, the grips, the rounded trigger guard and the rails. I also like that it has a dovetailed front sight, and can be easily converted between FS and G. Gotta get one to try out now.

why isn't listed on any Beretta websites?...I wonder if it's just a prototype.

I personally like the 'traditional' trigger guard, not a fan of rails, and the new recountered slide looks a bit off for me...
