New Beretta 90-two

ok yet again, they are not getting rid of the 92FS, this is simply an addition to the line.

I still prefer the looks of the (regular) 92FS Inox, but I like the new model too; it looks pretty mean and the new interchangeable grip should put an end to all the 'oh the grip is too big for me' nonsense :)

I think I want one :D

I suspect they'll sell a lot more of these than they will of the PX4.

I note that it says on the slide: "MADE IN ITALY".

So I think perhaps the phase-out rumour relates to 92FS pistols made in Italy, and they'll only be made in the US from now on.

The 8000-series was discontinued as soon as the PX4 was announced, because the PX4 is basically a reworked Cougar 8000, and the tooling is in Italy. So it sounds as though the guys at the plant in Italy have done the same thing with the 92.

Ok one more time, the standard model 92 is not being phased out or discontinued. Ok can you all read, it's not. The Cougar will be back, likely under a Benelli stamp though.
The only ones being dumped are the Inox ones, no one knows why, but it's a dumb idea to be sure.
It is possible, but doubtful that Italy will stop making 92FS standard models.

After clicking on all the links on that site and getting a pretty good look at that gun (without handling it) I think it might be even ###ier than the SP-01. Which is saying a lot.

I second that, I like the look of SP-01, but this one looks much better, too many wants but not much green:confused:

Just spoke with a rep from Beretta USA. They said all the 92/96 models are discontinued for 2006 except for 92FS (blue only), M9 and M9A1.

Also spoke with Stoeger Canada and they do not know what's still available until mid-next week.

the 90-two isn't slated to arrive in the USA for at least another 6 months. which means at least a year for Canada. But knowing how well Beretta meets deadlines I'd say at least 1 year in the USA and 1.5 years for Canada. I could be wrong, but that's been their SOP for the last few years.
I was told by BUSA reps directly that the Elite line is staying, and the standard FS line as well.

There was an article in the magazine SWAT .They really liked how simple this pistol was and they went on about how the pistol could not be re-assembled wrong after feild stripping it for normal maintance. They said they are trying to put the pistol out to law enforcement because of how easy and user friendly it is. The pistol also features an abidexterous ** spelling, safety. I like the idea of this pistol.
