The release is around June price est about 1700.00 in the US Bore is around 733 Optima size but has a different choke system. Has the same short stroke system of the new Xplor field gun a steel mag tube and a weight system on the forend nut to add weight as the field gun is quite light. Gun has an anodized receiver, is available with a recoil system as a option. The gun has a hi tech grip cap that has several functions. It gives the temperature 80.6 in, how many shots fired (1500 plus on this gun) chamber pressure.

It supposed to be in Canda around the same time according to the rep today. Recoil on the hunter version even without the recoil system is very low.
It might be time to retire the 391?

Regards,
Henry;)

I really hope they have other colors in mind for that receiver. Yikes!

Would be nice as well if the Italians could finally make a gun that really shoots a true 50/50 POI

This gun is just weird enough I might just buy one.

Back before the cheap looking deep relief engraving, laser checkering and fake wood, Beretta used to have some classy looking guns. Remember the 682 Gold Sporting ? The 686/687 Sporting guns of 20 years ago ? Most of their new stuff is just tacky!

It gives chamber pressure? Cool! I could get rid of the Oehler and laptop and just use the Shooting Chrony. Wouldn't need the single shots wired with phone plugs, either. With the Oehler I need calibration rounds. I wonder how accurate this feature is. If it is anywhere near as accurate as my current setup I would buy one for this feature alone.

I'd be interested in how the forend cap works. The cap on the 391 is one of its weaknesses.

But how did we ever live without a stock that counts rounds and tells the temperature. What next? One that has a GPS so you don't get lost?

I don't think I'll be trading my 391s.
