New best friend.

It's been a while. Too many guns and too little time. Been playing around with various load combinations using 168 SMKs and decided to try some 168gr Hornady Match BTHP bullets as I had run out of the SMKs. Here is the range report:

Sizing: Full Length RCBS
Overall Length: 2.801 (Lee Dead Length Seating Die)
Casing: Winchester - “R P 308 WIN”
Casing Condition: New
Primer: Winchester Regular
Powder: Hodgdon Varget

Powder Interval: .2 grains (42.8, 43.0, 43.2, 43.4, 43.6, 43.8)
Rounds Per Interval: 4
Bullet Make: Hornady
Bullet Weight: 168 grains
Bullet Style: Match BTHP

Distance: 200 yards

Charge Group Size (“) MOA
42.8 1.885 0.943
43.0 1.518 0.759
43.2 1.581 0.791
43.4 1.628 0.814
43.6 0.785 0.393
43.8 1.432 0.716
Average 1.472 0.736

I actually did a fist pump after the fourth shot of the 43.6 grouping. It was one of those... ...the first 3 are looking good, I hope I don't screw the last one up.

Here's the pic.

Anyway not sure what to try next. I don't have easy access to a range that allows me to shoot out past 200 at the moment and I've tried various reloading combinations for this gun. I was thinking of attempting to convert some 30-06 brass to 308 and tight fit the necks to my chamber. Not sure if I'm using the terminology correctly.
