Looking to replace the vx1 currently on my deer rifle. It doesn't seem to gather light like it did previous years(probably my eyes) Anyway looking for some feedback on the zeiss brand of scopes. I have found a new older conquest model for basically the same price as they are selling the terra model for and most threads I've read say the older ones have better glass. Has anyone used both these scopes as I've never looked through a zeiss because I didn't want to be ruined for the other scopes I have. I know the HD5 is head and shoulders above these 2 and if I can manage it, that's the one I'd get but its double the price.

I would recommend looking at the VX3 Leupolds.
HD5 in NOT heads and shoulders above the Conquest. It has more features. The conquest is a premium scope no matter what anyone says.
Terra is a huge improvement over what you currently have. Great glass, just assembled in the PRC.
If light is your major concern than a 50mm+ scope should be more important than other features.
