I find that i prefer hard holding vs. sliding bipods and that the cradle rides higher then the bore lowering the centre of gravity

Some folks still like their Harris style bipods. One quick question on that; the Harris bipod is what, around 100$? but you can get similar stuff for half the price. Is there any real difference between a Harris and a Shooters Ridge or the other knock offs?

In my humble opinion only the quality on the Shooters Ridge would be in question.

i have a cheep harris knock off on my 17 hmr, it has canting ability, and compareing it to the same size harris it is built almost identical, the only difference is the size of the bolt that allow it to cant is metric and just a tinny bit smaller. i just cant remember what brand it is, shooters ridge? or rocky point? i think for a 22 or 17 or even a budget rig the cheeper one is well built. but remember you get what you pay for!!
