Handled a new T-Bolt Browning today. Actually one in varmint and one synthetic. I hate Browning rifles but WOW! I really liked those guns. Especially the varmint.... absolutely beautiful. The clip, while composite, looked like a real quality unit and the action was as nice in quality as the original T-Bolts. Very Impressed!

All other things considered, the figure-8 shaped magazine was the one feature of the T-bolt that left me feeling underwelmed....seemed cheap and flimsy compared to the rest of the rifle, which was agile and well balanced.

I dont see it. A straight pull is a bit of a novelty. But theres got to be at least a half dozen .22s I would buy before this one.

Love My T-Bolt

Got a T-Bolt Varmint just before christmas and I love it. Shoots 10 shots into one ragged hole. I got lucky and ordered mine from WSS in Winnipeg, followed up with a phone call and they went thru 3 of them and sent me one with the nicest wood. Got it before the exchange rates starting going back thru the roof.

Great little 22 (I know have 8 in my collection) and this one will be my favorite or close to it. The Helix mag takes a bit of getting used to, but once you've put a few 100 rounds thru the mag loosens up so it's pretty easy to fill. I ordered an extra one with my rifle.

The T-Bolt is pretty neat to shoot with, and once broken in, you don't even use your hand to operate the bolt, just a finger, so you can fire off rounds pretty quickly.

Love the quality, fit, finish and wood on mine and would recommend them. Put a Bushnell 6-24 x 40 with mildot on mine, sighted in for 50 yds, and just raise to the lowest dot for 100 yards.

Definately buy one. Thats my 2 cents.

I had mine out today for the first time. I made a couple of 60 yard shots on gophers, but I don't think it especially loves Federal bulk pack ammo like my 597 does.
Anyone found a good ammo that the gun really likes yet? Mine is the synthetic one without the heavy barrel.
One of my favourite features on mine is that the extra mag can be stored inside the buttstock! Very handy instead of having it stashed in your pocket.
The rifle is very, very nice to shoot with a beautiful trigger and smooth action. I really like it so far-- just need to sight it in properly and find the right ammo.

It's called a mag.

Hmm... maybe it was just the wind taking the shots then, because it did hit exactly where I shot it a few times and it was a bit gusty.
Guess I'll have to start experimenting again at an indoor range to really see what it'll do.
