The sad thing is that the moose in Newfoundland came from NB.
So if I understand correctly, you must be drawn for a tag in NB?
Yup, and tags are hard to get. My first tag was in 1988 and I didn't see another for 20yrs.
Some guys have better luck, but long waits are very common here. The hunt is only three days as well, so it's a bit of a zoo when you do get to go.

i stopped applying. its a gong show, guys apply and then reapply with their wife, kids, neighbors, dead parents, dog ect. its the cheaters that screw it for the rest of us.
funny how they have more moose draw applicants than regular fall hunting permits sold.
at 10 bucks a pop to enter the draw, I doubt that MNR will change it anytime soon, what a cash cow.
