New Brunswick?

Make sure you brush up on the firearms laws in NB, they are quite a bit more restrictive as far as transporting, shooting in the off season, etc. They have a lot of silly provincial firearm restrictions that we are not used to out west. The deer season is only 3 or 4 weeks. Don't know if they allow Sunday hunting yet or not. Moose draw if you are lucky enough to ever get drawn is only a 3 day season. Sadly the NB laws are not really very hunter/shooter friendly. I used to think it was pretty good growing up there but after living in BC and Alberta for the last 30 years I realize how blessed we are in the west for hunting, fishing, shooting and the great outdoors in general.

We have Sunday hunting.

Best deer hunting is from Sussex south, around the Kennebecasis and Saint John river valleys.

Realistically, if you want to hunt in NB, get used to shooting small deer. If you want trophy animals, get into bear hunting. We don't have the big smashers that Demonoid shows on here every year, but there are lots to be had - you can actually choose your target, unlike deer season.

I've accepted that should the forces.gc.ca see fit to send me to NB, my new favorite sports will be fishing and chasing yogi.

Deer hunting in NB sucks, too many huge clearcuts, and too many damn coyotes. The best place to find deer is in the suburbs, where people feed them. If you can find a spot that's 200 meters from a house, thats not posted, have at er.

That 's the 4'" pvc deer feeder. :p
It has oats in it. There's also been moose and coyotes come to the feeder.

Heck, that's the same kind of feeder I use. Got the design off a predator hunting site.
