If available ... !

I'm with Ardent on this one. Based on what's allowed, lion would be at the top of my list. But if populations were high enough to allow sustainable hunting, the very top of my list would have a tiger on it. Ah, the good old days...

I'm a simple man, I'd simply want to do a last Whitetail hunt... Out of all the animals I hunt, its my favorite then comes moose hunting.

My current "dream hunt" for now is an archery Pronghorn hunt but I wouldn't make it my last thats for sure. One day, when I have a couple thousand dollars I'll jump in my truck, drive out west for an Antelope hunt...

In this hypothetical world I would spend all 28 days left in my life hunting nonstop. The actual animals harvested would be much less important that anything else- being outside, with the right company doing what I love most would be its own reward. Grizz, goats and sheep in BC- yep. Enough plains game in Africa to wear out my .270- sure. A complete list of dangerous game with a double rifle costing more than my truck- hell yah. But honestly, deep in my heart I know I would pick the hunt that would guarantee the most days in the field and know it was the right one.

Oh, and a sperm whale from a rowboat with a hand harpoon. Because they are the largest predator on the planet and a worthy adversary. :D

Grizzly bear would be no.1 on my list, but the bear has to be pissed off full charge.no.2 a koala bear.Bait him with a pack of halls, wound him with one of those 270.'s my buddies cant give away, then finish em with .375hh.Tell the taxi not to fix the holes, and donate the little bastard too the suzuki foundation.

You know in the central rain forest in SA the natives used to hunt jaguar with a spear and call them in. The Jag would investigate and then charge the caller at which point the hunter would jam the butt of the spear in the ground and impale the Jag when it pounced for him. Apparently they learned very quickly to lash a T stick about 2' down from the head so the Jag was forced to maintain his distance and not slide all the way down the spear and terminate his adersary prior to his own demise.

Now that would be a cool hunt, don't ya think? Or better yet try tiger with this method.

I've been very fortunate to see a Jaguar deep in the Amazon, about 2003-2004. They are unbelievably big cats that don't give up much to Lions, and I can only imagine how standing firm on that charge with a spear would feel.

Yes Ardent, most people think the jaguar is a South American leopard, when in fact it is closer to a spotted tiger, size wise.

In retrospect I think a traditional Masi manhood ritual lion hunt would be a great finale to a lifetime of hunting.

A mountain hunt of some type whether it was in North America or Asia would be a perfect end to my life. Chasing sheep or goats in some wild untamed mountain range, to me would be the epitome of my hunting career.
