New Build: AR-15 Dlask-Socom 7.5" (sweet!)

I had a PWS brake on my RRA "pistol". Shot a few rounds with it and promptly took it off and put a Noveske KX3. MUCH better! The PWS looked real cool but it was brutal to shoot! Felt like someone slapped you alongside the head every time you pulled the trigger. Nice gun by the way!!!
 
That thing is sooo tacticool it makes me want to make sweet love to you and have your babies. Seriously!

And then I am gonna learn not to leave my account open and computer on. :)

I would hate to shoot beside you as at the end of the day I probaly will have my few remaining hairs burnt off and be deaf.

Are you really going to be shooting far enough and at a piece of paper resistant enough that its going to make a difference? :rolleyes:

What does this have to do with anything? The number of rotations a bullet makes before it clears the muzzle is irrelevant.

How many turns do you think a bullet makes coming out of a 1.5" snubby revolver barrel? And yet those bullets don't seem to tumble.

The only thing that matters at all is the rotational rate (RPM) which is related to the twist rate and the bullet velocity.

"What?!" ;) (I'd hate to shoot beside me, too! Fortunately this one will be travelling to an out-of-the-city range where it's fairly quiet... and seldom anyone beside me)

I'm seriously considering the PWS CQB that USP suggested and moving the compensator to an 18.7" barrel instead. That or an AAC Blackout; anyone have any experience with these? (would I be going from bad to worse?)

That was the only twist rate for the 7.5" upper; I wanted a Canadian-built upper to go with the Canadian-built lower, so I did have some limitations in terms of available options. At the end of the day, I'm really impressed with the build quality from Dlask, though; Josef does really great work!

Ah, nope... this was created as a PDW, so anything beyond 50-yards is a bonus at this point. If I really want a degree of accuracy beyond that, I've got a 16"; and then there's the 27" .338LM...

It would be very interesting to see what type of accuracy can be had at 50 and 100m.
 
Nice rifle!
I considered the mini moose and ended up with a complete 7.5"Dlask CQB with anniversary lower.
As far are as the 1/9 twist, I find it as accurate with AE 55gn FMJ ammo at 100yrds as it is at 50yrds using a 4moa Aimpoint.
You should consider the XB1 flash suppressor because mine noticeably sends the muzzle blast down range. Keeps the next stall shooter happy and it also looks great IMO.
