I have seen this bullet puller used - it a lot quicker than either my hammer puller,l my Hornady collet or RCBS puller and it leaves less marks on the buttet

most clamp-type pullers have issues when pulling deep seated bullets (they need to clamp on the cylindrical part which is not always exposed)
having said that, I do own a collet but I use the inertial puller most often.

Love the RCBS collet puller, I haven't seen any damage to a projectile yet.
I'm sure the grip-n-pull is okay but I don't see the value for the price.

+1!

With a total shipped price of $90 CDN not including any tax or duty it doesn't seem at all worth it. One can buy a nice collet system for less here in Canada.

That's what I use as well. That Grip N Pull cost more shipped to your door. I do like that you don't need to change collets for different diameter bullets. Not a fan of having to rely on inconsistent grip strength/pressure. :p

I have a large pair of sidecutters with a notch cut in the teeth. It will grip most any size bullet, leaving two small marks.

For large volume pulling, I put this in the press. On the upstroke it pops out the last pulled bullet from the teeth and grips the new bullet to be pulled on the down stroke. Each unit will last about 100,000 pulls before the teeth get too dull.

I want one! Are these still sold, and if so what's it called and who sells them?

The maker is Lachmiller (sp?)

I bought a handful of them 30 years ago and only have a couple left.

Don't recall seeing them for sale.

Send the picture to Brounells and ask.

It pulls a bullet every 3 seconds. If you want to pull bullets from a case or two of milsurp, it is the only solution.

I was going to say that I really like my Hornady collet puller although it needed to be tweaked for depth of seating and grip when I changed collets to work perfectly every time, but this LEC puller looks to be simply amazing. What an incredibly good idea.

One thing I have done for the Hornady collet puller is slowly and carefully sanded down the wedged/tapered working end of my collets. I have probably removed about 15 to 30 thou from each collet. This allows it to be adjusted to seat more reliably on the bullet, not allowing the case to get up into the collet, which provides more spring-back as the tapered end pushes itself out of the squeezing taper when released. It is something that has to be done slowly and carefully. Take too much off and the collet is junk. How did I figure this out? I was pulling some .44Rem and the case kept getting up into the collet. Eventually there were some snaps as the case was pulled free and it eventually chipped the edge of the collet. I figured there was plenty of taper left so out came the fine emery cloth on top of a hardwood sanding block. 15 minutes later it was back working and I noticed how much better it worked. I continued to sand and test until it works perfectly. Once the collet is inserted and the depth adjusted for fit so that the bullet enters but the casing cannot, the cam lever engagement can be adjusted for grip and away you go. It really works slick.
