I wouldn't use the scope as a ranging device, for that I have ranging binoculars that will give me the exact range out to around 1800 yard and bullet drop in either inches or MOA. Why complicate the shot with guessimate reticle ranging and Mils...easier for me to range with binocs and then dial the moa, done! Buts thats just me.
I've got the elite tac LRS. Same glass, different mechanics and reticlule. I think it's fantastic. Really clear optics. Decent eye relief. Mil-Mil setup is fantastic for ranging.
There's a few of the LRHS around. I quite like mine and think it's pretty good value for what you get. The optical quality is great and I'd put it up there with other top optics. My only complaint is that it's heavy, but that's the trade off for optical and mechanical quality.
