Just spoke to the CFO and they advised that the cupboard must be modified to safely store the cup and as it was not a safe, it requires a trigger lock. Setting the cup down on a table with hot or warm coffee is considered a "pause in use". However cups found with cold coffee in it and not trigger locked, will lead to unsafe storage charges.
