I've been mulling over building a high end hunting rifle for a few years now
receiver choices are tuff but for the money this might be a viable option maybe? Or is an action like this more suited to the competitive LR and precision target shooting?

So up until the release of this action you couldn't find a quality action to build off?
no it's not that.
I had a pearce action set aside in hopes of a .338 fed build but a 4 legged family member needed a couple grand of vet bills looked after and a couple projects went on the block.
Now that I can forsee fitting a few grand into a new rifle build I'm back to window shopping hehehe I want to support Canadian made as much as I can right now too.
when I said receiver choices are tuff..... I guess that could be taken wrong. I meant it is a tuff choice between what is currently out there and this action adds a new player to the game i need to consider
