New Caracal Pistol from UAE?

What the hell is it about plastic pistols??

Is it like: "Ok Franz, the ingredients are getting to temp, pooooouuuuuur in the ugly!!!"


Oh, but at least this one has an available FACTORY stock and "tactical front stock" (thank god it's tactical!) so you don't have to go with an aftermarket carbine conversion kit, like the ones available for a certain other tupperware pistol.

Because THAT'S not the stupidest idea on the planet...

Would you rather think of it as an incredibly ineffective carbine, or an incredibly unwieldy pistol? Oh, and how's that holster working out?

When their website lists "Ambidextrous Magazine Catch" that "Prevents unintentional magazine release" (phew! My magazine catch lets my magazines release left right and centre!) and "Take Down Lever" as FEATURES, ya gotta know they're running out of ideas...

It appears these people have taken a whole bunch of stupid and mashed it together...


The trouble is, people will buy it!

Kinda looks like a cross between a Glock and a CZ75....:eek:

You guys are too hung up on aesthetics, you know. :rolleyes: Actually, it looks (to me) very similar to an XDM. If it shoots just as well and costs 1/2 price I'll take one, I'm not too concerned with the looks, just those neat groups it can make. :D
 
Designed by Wilhelm Bubits who designed the Steyr M and S and who previously worked for Glock. There are some good videos on youtube with an introduction by Herr Bubits and shooting scenes by a couple of European police groups.
 
Gee, that's totally derivative. Given that it's a derivative in the looks department, can we assume there's no earth shatteringly new approach being taken on the inside? I bet it's a cam locking tilt breach design- and I'm sorry being reliable isn't new, or even noteworthy any more.
