No, there are three reasonably local to me here in Southern Ontario.
25 minutes to the Landsborough auction, less than 2 hours to Simpson's, and about 3-4 hours to Switzer's.
The only other one I know of is the Bud Haynes Auction in Alberta.
You can put in absentee bids. I got a Browning T-bolt at the last Switzer auction with an absentee bid, got a great deal.
Silly as it sounds, absentee bids on cheap .22's would work. Better than on the more expensive guns. I always figure it's tough to outbid someone that has the chance to inspect the gun. But on .22's, specially cheaper non-collectable ones, there seems to be a maximum the casual buyer will pay.
Talk to the auctioneer about condition, put in a max. bid of $50 on a bunch of the decent guns. If one isn't a good as you hoped, the others will make up for it. Shipping will be spread over several guns instead of one. Also, no taxes on out of province, should help pay for the shipping.
