I guess I was on the wrong site , the main chiappa site does list it as hard chrome.

.40
9x21
So it shoots four calibers as the .38 and .357 should be good for the same size cylinder.

VERY cool gun!!!
The only "con" I have really heard about this gun is that it is way, wayyy complex...as if something was to happen/break you pretty much need to send it in for repairs, not an easy (at all) self fix.
So it shoots four calibers as the .38 and .357 should be good for the same size cylinder.

.40 would be a different model for obvious reasons!

Thanks if your serious about getting this one in hard chrome I would get a hold of Prophet River asap and see what they are doing with the second unit they bought. I doubt they will list it before it arrives which will be 4-8 weeks ( I said 6-8 weeks previous as I'm making payments on mine over 6 weeks ). And this thread lets the cat out of the bag regarding a second white 6" Rhino. It's the hard chrome white Rhino that is as rare in Canada as it's wild counterpart. Good luck!
I sent them an email so I'll wait and see what they say. I've always wanted a Mateba, but they're nearly non-existent in today's market. But these are designed by Ghisoni so they're the next best thing.
Happy shooting!

I went and saw my friend today and investigated furthur on the 9mm compatibilty in the .357 version as mentioned here, he had no knowlage of this what so ever. There is nothing in the manual, nothing on the Chiappa website, and when you search in google there seems to be nothing more then confussed info. I did read that it was once posted on the factory sight but quickly remover without explanation. I cant find one thing actually stating that this gun can and will shoot 9mm from the .357 version, not to mention no accounts of someone actually shooting a 9mm from from the same gun. It is clear that Chiappa offers the gun in three version a .357/.38, a .40 and a 9mm, but no combo versions.
Also as mentioned above this is not a standard 9mm.
As for the moon clips they seen to be nothing moee then some form of speed loader, they are packaged with a casing remover so that kinda makes sense.
There are a few US broker sights selling this gun as a .357 and 9mm combo, unfortunatly that info is just in the titles with only the factory discription listed.
Please if anyone has more concrete info on this please let me know as we would lovebit if this gun was even more versitile then it already is, and allot cheaper to shoot. As for mow I don't think well try to shoot a round from this gun that isn't clearly stated as compatible fro the factory at this time :/.
Cheers,
Evan
This is becoming a bit of a brain teaser...... I guess I'll have to do more digging as well. I'll fire off another email to Chiappa and see if they respond. The ad on GB for mine is gone from the data base now, so going from memory the US retailer selling them stated that they fire 357/38/9mm, HOWEVER I don't honestly remember if it said 9X19 or simply 9mm. But he sure did state that it fire 9mm of some sort. He went on to state that "they achieve the various calibers by way of different moon clips for each caliber", and that "the gun comes with one of each to get you started". That's quoting darn close to what he said. Beyond that, I'm stumped. I took his comments at face value as I am no expert. Maybe if a few of us send emails in this regard to Chiappa one of us may get lucky and get a reply.
Oh, and he also said these three calibers were interchangeable in the "new 6" target model Rhino" if that helps.
That's great, although I'll be the guy at the range saying "back off get your own sandwich!".Kidding.... When I take it out to the Selkirk gun range anyone interested in testing it out is welcome to have at it.
Thats the US company I was talking about also GB, on all there adds for that gun it mentions it but only in the title.
All three moon clips are the exact same size with no differences what so ever, an nothing on them to indicating specific calibers.
It seems like at some point Chiappa might have made a mistake in some for of the advertizing and the public might have just ran with it with hopes thatbit might be true. Not to mention it's a great selling feature.
I really hope this is real and not just a pipe dream.
Really if it does shoot 9mm, the info that came with the gun should state it somewhere. Our does not can you check and see what your factory papers say?
