Unissued Russians are recognised as tops with the unissued Yugo M59/66 in second (who doesn't love a rifle with a folding bayonet AND a grenade launcher hey?), unissued PLA (Chinese) rifles in third and the Norinco commercial stuff bringing in a distant fourth if you have a need for AK magazines.
Unless you're an expert you won't notice the difference shooting a Chinese or Russian. CGN member/dealer Weimajack has some very snazzy hand picked Russians and Chinese for sale on the EE - If you can't be there to pick it out yourself (or don't know what you're looking at) it's nice to have somebody do it for you.
Yugos pop up on the EE every so often but you can buy three of the others for what you'll usually pay.
