My one question for my SKS is if anyone has any idea why the magazine and trigger group on my SKS is grey? Has anyone seen them before with grey magazines and trigger groups?

Never seen anything like this one. But I can tell you that the chromed sks is still being produced today.

The pics I posted are all I have. Like I said, I've sold the rifle. And yes, it was 0405.

I bought the SKS used from someone that took a better part of a month to finalize the deal. It had a lot to do with not having the time to meet up at a location and do the deal. He let me pick between two SKS. Both have grey magazine and trigger groups. I asked him about the grey magazine and trigger group and he said he ordered both of the rifles at the same time from Canada Ammo and both came that way.

No clue.... I have never seen any reworked gun or original from china havinge this characteristic. Could this be a result of the importer pinning the box mag and refinishing for some reason?
