new choke for mossberg 500a

i have a mossberg 500a shotgun i like it and had a lot of success shooting geese but ive had a problem last year where i can see the bullets hit it and hear it but they dont go down so im wondering if i should get a new choke... i was thinking extended range carlson choke any thoughts?

Why not shoot at paper first to see how the chokes you have now pattern. And remember not all ammo shoots the same out of the same choke.

Did you change shell brands?

How do you hunt? Pass shooting or over decoys?

i have done pattern testing and federal 2's did pretty decent but i want something with longer range
i shoot passing geese
i have decoys but i dont take them out often

It sounds like they are too far away. If you are hitting them but they are not going down, they are too far. You are just wounding them which is not good. Break out your decoys and calls and try and get them closer.

yeah im going to start taking out my decoys more often but i still think im going to buy a carlson extended range choke for the days where i dont have time to take the decoys out
and i found a website for 39.99 so its not a bad price
