I took Chainman for a round of Sporting Clays tonight, I think we hooked another one.

Looks like Tuesday nights in Carstairs will be a regular thing, if anyone wants to come!

I hope you provide appropriate disclaimers before exposing someone to shooting clays NZ. The preamble should at least include warnings about sleep disturbed by dreams about a single clay flying into the sunset untouched and bank balances knocking on zero because of the latest acquisition. One could include further out stuff like how our favourite smoke pole can develop a personality of its own and try to follow its own agenda rather than our own...extreme feelings of betrayal and abandonment here, of course. It might be best to deliver information about this last phenomenon when some clays are actually hit and missed for it to really sink in. Just trying to help......one doesn't want one's addictions to run amok after all. Fred

No such disclaimers were given. I told him it was a recreational past time that could be enjoyed in his free time with no pressure to perform or repeat past successes.

A simple game that is free from harrassment, shame, giggling or embarrassment.

I told him that the price of the gun was unimportant, that he should find ones that fit and fight the urge to get a good one and hang onto it. Part of the fun is trading up and Nugunitis is harmless and NOT contagious. I know this because my wife has never caught it.
