Now that all the big game seasons are winding down it's on to coyotes for some of us. What are you using this year.
I finally got around to getting all the parts and bolting mine up tonight. Thanks to reliable I got a Vanguard 2 in .243 win on there sale day for $480.00 I feel the action in the Howa offers more than both remington and savage and I usually replace the trigger in both of those with a timney where I actually like the new 2 stage in the newer vanguards, Plus the sub MOA guarantee is nice. Then Prophet river got me a Bell and Carlson stock this spring in the new dark grey with black webbing they offer which is a big improvement over any of the bargain gun synthetics. finished when wyatts put there aluminium bottom metal on sale cheaper than the plastic ones and I was all set. Now that it's done I am glad I went this route over a off the shelf rifle for the same money. It was nice getting exactly what I wanted. Just have a Leupold VX3 in 2.5-8x32mm on it that was laying around as I spent too much money on a vegas trip and Christmas, It will have to do for now but will be on the lookout for deals on a vortex in the 4-12x40 range. Anybody else that might jump in on the wyatts deal it will not fit the vanguard 2 without altering the trigger area of the bottom metal. Fits all s&w 1500, Howa 1500, and Vanguard 1's just fine though.
Pics below hopefully the next ones will have a coyote or two in it.
