Ordered the rifle from the good people at Frontier Firearms, came with a free muzzle device and “scope mount”. It was well packaged and I was surprised that it came in such a small box.

Opened it up and found it came with two 30/5 mags pinned very neatly with pop rivets, cleaning kit with some take down tools, chamber brush etc in a small green bag, muzzle device in a separate bag, black sling and a warranty card from North Sylva for a five year manufactures warranty on the firearm.
There was also a DVD that had a manual and a history of Czech small arms, very interesting.

Did a field strip of the rifle, cleaned and lubricated it with Milcom lubricant. Initial impressions that the fit and finish was well done, no rough machining marks evident. However the lettering and numbering in my opinion was a little shoddy and a little uneven, other than that a really attractive and well built firearm.

Used standard Norinco grey box non corrosive ammo for the initial test firing of 200 rounds. All ammo fed correctly with no FTF/stove pipes. Primer strikes on the steel cased ammo were consistent and well defined. I used a figure 11 “fritz” target and shot 20 rounds at 25 yards, 20 rounds at 50 yards and a further 20 rounds at 100 yards. With the irons I got some respectable groupings with not key holes evident at the 25 yards and 50 Yards. At the 100 yards grouping opened up significantly, but what do you expect from a 7.5 inch barrel. Initial impressions that this gun is very loud and would do well with an aftermarket FH and the muzzle flash was significant to say the least. Factory brake did its job well with reasonable recoil.

The only mods I did were to wrap the folding stock with black para cord and used a Isreali nylon sling.

Post cleaning found the rifle did not get too dirty especially with a rifle with such a short barrel.

Short video showing muzzle flash.

I used several extra surplus VZ mags that were some of the first ones that came in from Marstar with no problems.

All in all it was well built and a good purchase. I highly recommend it.
