Well im building a Custom 10/22 as a little project

Here are the specs:

Tac Innovations Elite receiver with Matching Bolt (only part bought used)
Kidd Bolt Buffer
Kidd V Block
Kidd Cocking Assembly
Kidd Trigger
Kidd Receiver Pin Set
Volquartsen takedown screw
Whistle pig 17" Barrel
Boyds SS Evolution Stock

Well im pretty new to 10/22's but seems like I figured out how to install everything.

I do have a few gripes/issues

It seems like the V block when installed does not really contact the receiver at all, by the time it gets tight, it isnt screwed in enough to completely touch the receiver...is this an issue?

Also when installing the barrel in the instructions it said the barrel would be a bit tight, actually it slid in pretty easily and wiggles ever so slightly...again is this bad?

Last but not least, when the mag is installed (HC3R) it is extremely loose in the mag well, to the point that if I lock the bolt back and touch the mag, the bolt slams forward...which i assume shouldnt happen

is there anything im doing wrong here?

Thanks

your barrel shouldn't be loose once the v block is tightened down but it is normal for the barrel to instal easy most of mine have although ive never used that receiver. your mag issue might just be that try a different mag and see if it changes. None of my vblocks touch my receiver they all tighten up on the machined part of the barrel first this being said how does it shoot?

Well, no other mags I bought one mag to use..thats it...but should the mag lock back on an empty mag?...and if so should it (the bolt) shoot forward after wiggling the mag?

Here is a pic of the v block

havnt gone out to shoot it...lastly...would I need to check headspace...or just assume its good to go?

V-Block looks fine.
As long as the barrel shank flushes up to your receiver, your good to go.
MAKE SURE you don't over-tighten the V-Block and that your barrel extractor slot and your extractor on the bolt line up without binding.

It's a whistle pig..anyways I may loosen it...still can't get over how loose the mag is...also again...do I have to headspace or should it be ok...if so how do I do it ?

No need to head space your bolt just yet.
Get it out and see how it fires first.
PM me again....I may have some better mag(s) for you (if your interested).
