Finally my new baby has arrived and i used for bear hunting in the spring with great results.
Pierce action
24" Shilen barrel stainless 0,8" at the muzzel.
Timney trigger and Manner stock.
Loaded up some 250gr Accubond and BT as well as some 286gr Hornady and the result was astonishing.
None of their loads grouped worse than 0,6" and the best were 0,2" and 0,3" for a max Load for the Accubonds and the Hornady SP.

I also shoot a x64. It's my favorite cartridge for moose and elk. Mine is not built for accuracy like yours but does well enough with nosler partitions and IMR4350. I once shot a 46"moose at 200 yards with it that was a long, long shot by my standards. Everything else has been at 75yards or less. So far nothing has taken a step after being hit.

I also have a Pierce action. I used it to make a 308 with a Shilen #7 bbl in a HS Stock. I did all my own gunsmithing. It can be crazzy accurate when I get my hand loading and shooting right.

The Brenneke on a custom remington clone like a Pierce is a neat project but obviously not for everyone. Having a little experience with both I would be more than happy with one as a hunting and shooting rifle!

I hear what ROA is saying. It would be the same as building a 300 H&H LR rig to spin 250gr VLD bullets. Most people familiar with the cartridge expect to see it in Old Mauser and Winchester Super Grades.

So I appluad the originallity. You should call Matrix Bullets and see if Marshal will do up a batch of 280gr RBBT bullets or something like it.
