hi guys im looking on getting a new rim fire, im thinking of a cz FS or the lux modle. not sure if it will be the 455 or the 452. like both modles and the 455 is cheaper and is just as accurate as the 452 or close to it. thanks for the help!

I dont think you can go wrong with any cz, but what are you going to be using it for? bench, hunting, scope no scope ect. whats your plans for the gun?

well i plan to do some small game hunting with it. I already have both cz 452 and 455 lux modles, with the 455 scoped. i also plan to carry it while shed hunting. dont think ill put a scope on it.

Love my Style and Varmints 452s. If I were to buy another 452, it will be the American with the 16 inch barrel.....sweet! Most good looking and best proportioned rifle, IMO, plus the usual accuracy, fine fit and finish of the CZs.

For your intended hunting use...none better than a 16 incher...highest velocity possible with no loss of accuracy. It doesn't have irons, though.

Prophet River could still have some.

LUX Model.

Has sights but if you plan on scoping it don't get the Lux model. I did and had to remove the rear sight to clear the 3x9x40 scope.

If your going for a model with iron sights the full stock would be an excellent bush gun .with alot of reports of them being one of the most accurate CZs.

Might be a couple 453s around still. They have a single set trigger!!! Push the trigger forward, and it sets it to reduce the trigger pull to a few ounces. Or the trigger can be used conventionally with a pull of about 4 lbs.

The new 455 does not come in a version with a set trigger.

any of them with irons would be perfect, I my self bought a scout for walking with. small, light, and shoots GREAT. the scout is a very short gun. I am 5 foot 8 inches tall. and the small size has never bothered me. i actually like it. since then i have taken the irons off and use a scope on it. also it did not come with swivel studs but that's an easy fix

Awesome. I was thinking of the scout but decided not because of the size. I'm really loving the FS it just has that look that catches my eye! Thanks for the advice every one ill let you know when I get one.

I just bought the fs model and I couldnt be happier with it. I also have the silhouette and std 452. The fs is my favorite. All have the same trigger kit too.

Good luck on finding one of those 16 inch pieces. Ah the full stock, I love them too, I have a couple in 22LR, I have one in 17HMR and I have one in 22 Hornet. The hornet and the 17 were new last fall and saw a lot of gopher action last summer.
My 12 year old loves shooting our 16 inch American, if only I could get him to squeeeeeeeeze the trigger more consistantly.
The FS CZ's are super accurate pieces. FS

I have a couple CZs including the 16" model. It would make a great carry gun but you have to scope it - no irons. It might be real interesting with a red dot sight.

If I wanted at CZ that had iron sights I would buy the full stock. They're beautiful and somewhat unique.

i fit in here, I bought me a nice 452 FS and am loving it. I wish they offered the varmint heavy barrel model with sights but alas. I dont know what Id do if I was you...Some guys at rimfire central have a thing for the 452 and are scared of the new 455. something about how the barrel fits together, whether theres anything to it I have no clue myself.

It seems nice to have the ability to switch to .17 Hmr with the purchase of another barrel- depending on cost of the barrel of course.

For a walk around gun don`t forget the Farmer model, not as fancy but still accurate i`m told. I see P&D has one as well as a few others. I guess i`m different but i don`t like the looks of the FS, i guess that`s why there are different models for different folks.

Buy the FS, they are among the most accurate of the bunch along with the scout. I bought a scout, liked it so much I bought another stock and plunked it in so it fit better. a real keeper.

I have a few CZ 22's, but I find the 455 Lux is my fav.
First off, its my most accurate with iron sights by far, maybe its a placebo effect or maybe there is something about that stock as CZ claims when using iron sights but its wonderfully accurate as i find i constantly exceed my expectations with that lil gun compared to other shooters in my company who are far better, its the gun that enables me to "keep up". It also has the nicest look and finish, and if you like to appreciate nice things you will like it even more. (this is something i would expect tho, since this is not the cheapest .22 on the market)
However when i decided to tinker with it and add a scope, I did have to get higher mounts as one of the posters mentioned. This was a non issue IMO. Shoots great with a scope too btw.

PS but im sure not matter what CZ you pick up, u will be a happy man.

Good Luck!
