New DA556 rifles - What do you want?

~11", free float rail no front sight. And no forward assist. And definitely do the stripped down one with no furniture. We all don't need ANOTHER set of off the shelf crappy furniture.

Id say folding front site would be golding!

On another note how awesome is can am? Look at there customer interaction in this tread compare to some other dealers.

maybe take a mini build approach. Like many posters have said, add the bare bones rifle ( various length available) to cart then the ability to add bcm or magpul furniture or no furniture, irons or pop up sights. Each item you add in the package gets you additional savings. Like ordering from a menu.

Have the option to just buy the guts of the rifle with no furniture. I've seen Brownells advertise tons of ARs that are naked and I think that's an awesome idea. Allows each buyer to outfit it the way they want with the brands they want etc etc. With no furniture that should lower the price too I'd imagine. So you could get a cheap base rifle and build off it.

price will be in the $6-700 range

Currently we plan on 7.5", 10", 14.5" and 18"

Do what worked with the Chinese ones. Have complete guns, people order, you slap label on and ship..
If people want to mod , Go nuts on that, But a complete plain shorty will work for me....
And keep the 1-9 twist

Flat top and 20" barrel

20" Flat-top <3

^^Agree with this guy. Stock up on different stocks and handguard and we'll all build our own, slightly different rifle. You can even reduce the amount of barrel lengths to 3 (very short (10.5), short(14.5 or 16), and normal (20)) to reduce inventory.

The only thing that seem to be a consensus here is No front sight (or removable front sight). Better let everyone build their own, it's gonna be cheaper for the customers and give you a better margin.

+1. Keep it simple. Let everyone customize their forend...grip and stock. Flat top and no front sight.

I want to echo the ideas of others that the rifle should be sold without furniture, not even mags in my opinion. I think it would benifit CanadaAmmo, and us, by boosting their selection of furniture options and stock. Then let the end user pick what they need and want. Most AR owners already have boxes of plain AR furniture they took off anyway.

I'd like to see the price closer to $600 than $700. Flat top. No front sight. Full ambi. Three different lengths. It's a no brainer sale for me.

14.5 and 18 . id also like to see 7.62x39 with good mags. also, somebody said here, and i think its a good idea, offer the rifles without furnature. i didnt read all 18 pages, but allso i prity sure there is a big market for compleat uppers aswell. i know id be in for that

Post 79, already will be offered without furniture.

There are tons of well priced flat top options in Canada, I'm still into the Nam Era a1 idea. I'm thinking it's gunna make a comeback and there are no options for this in Canada. I know it was mentioned there wasn't anyone making the triangle handguards but I'm sure they could be made overseas for a reasonable price? Wishful thinking anyways :)
