NEW DETAILS - B.C. Lowermainland m14s clinic DEC 2

I'm putting a Smith 2024 mount, 30mm rings and my Falcon 4-14 Hunter scope on mine. I'm not sure if mine will need a shim kit or not but I think I'll chance it by not getting one right now. If I do need it I'll learn what would need to be done for it. I might get a guide rod by then but not sure...

One more week.... ;)
i will be installing a new trw bolt and hopefully checking headspace. will also be installing a new stock. My new barrel isn't here yet and probably not till after this coming week.
we will be serving up beef and also venison burgers off the BBQ so no need to bring lunch :D
If anyone has any last minute questions.... send me a p.m.
see ya all next weekend

I will be bringing a the tools and a complete Norc to strip down completely and put back together. This one already has a shorty barrel, so if someone wants a shorty, we can talk about swappin out the barrel. Also, if anyone needs any Norc M-14 spare parts, we can part out this one.

PS: I will be sending a list of FAQs and answers to 45ACP as soon as i get a few hours to myself to finish them.

Will also be posting soon, a comprehensive guide to inspecting your new or used M-14.

ALSO.... be sure to have your paperwork ie PAL/POL and reggie cert for your rifle.

I'm just curious. What is with that? Are you teaching or checking paperwork like a Fed? When we start policing each other for paperwork I suggest we've gone too far, IMHO.

Nah,
Just the area of town, with a bunch of cased firearms comin' in....it's not like nothin' ever happens around there....
'Specially after the last couple 'O weeks.....

In spite of Deck's post to the contrary...:p

This should be a great get together...esp w/ Laz'2000 demonstratin' the 'full monty strip down'....:runaway:

Can hardly wait...

just to clarify a point here.
it was suggested to me that i remind folks to have thier paperwork with them, so I did. Although this get together is at my residence in surrey, I live on a quiet street, there is no need for alarm or paranoia.

personally, I could care less if you have paperwork or not, and folks attending this get together are not obligated to and will not be asked to show said paperwork. I would prefer that all attending have a valid POL/PAL and am assuming that is the case.
More than anything, this is meant as a freindly get together of folks who are into thier m14s rifles and who want to learn from other guys who share the same hobby.

After getting an Email notice about this thread, ........I started looking at flights for the weekend........I'm so tempted to fly out.
I miss playing with the M14 tools and parts........oh I might just have to come out......and do a show and tell with all the weird things I have,

ACP can I come and play if I fly out???

Good point. You wouldn't want to carry your rifle all over town if you didn't have a PAL at least! I travel with everything all the time. May as well start off on the right foot if something goes sideways

hello evryone
Me and lazerus2000 have been at it all night , tinkering with the rifles.
we hit up Dlask and one of our local shops for a few goodies.... there are extras so bring some play $$$$ hehehe
The clinic is still on despite the snow..... the main roads leading to my house are clear.... my street ... well she might be a bit slick.
BUT we are still on, though i realize some folks may not make it due to the snow...... damm winter :(
so... see ya'll in the mornin :D
