New elk hunting opportunity in Sask. Thoughts?

if you have never hunted elk before and have no contacts in the zone you choose save your money
it's not like deer or moose where u drive around and shoot at a elk

Another fantastic example of SERM's complete mismanagement of the wildlife resources. In many of those very zones, they eliminated the opportunity to shoot a cow in archery season and now they are issuing these tags to decimate the elk population. SERM has destroyed moose hunting in the province, now they are about to destroy what's left of decent elk hunting. Bureaucratic bull-crap.

Not only that, but they're going with a blanket open war on antlerless elk in zones 1-55 when the majority of those zones CANNOT SUSTAIN A DRAW SEASON!!!

The actual biologists recommending draw quotas are saying that most of those zones cannot sustain a limited draw season, or if the herd can the quotas have to be very low, but now out of the blue and due to ridiculous pressure from Gov't buddies and farmers (who hold way too much power in this Province) we're getting an open antlerless season with zero quota, pick a zone you like and go?!?! This is not wildlife management, this is about Moe and friends...
