How did you guys modify your cali comp shell carriers to fit on the ELS attachment? I have an idea and have to swing by fastenall, but want to see what others have done first.

Ok...not as easy as I thought. Was gonna drill a hole through the belt clip (which looks like stainless steel), and its not going so well.

Any thoughts? I got some tiny nuts and bolts perfect for mounting these things together if I could only make a hole.
 
What does your shell carrier look like? I had other gear that I was generally able to cannibalize to attach to the ELS adapters.
 
Oh...just realized after that I didn't mention which ones....they are cali comp works 4 shell carriers. Cant seem to find a pic of the back of them

Take the metal clip off and replace with a flat piece of aluminum??
It can be cut shaped drilled and tapped much easier than the existing piece.
 
I did purchase one six shot cali comp already done up from safariland and that's how they did it. I'd rather just drill holes if I can....

I suppose I could bust out the dremel
 
Yes, the belt attachment holds the springs that retain the shells...If I did that, I think I'd have to follow Paul's advice and replace the backing with aluminum
 
Tell ya what bring them to the club and we will find someone with some tools to help ya out... We might as well experiment on yours as we will need to mod ours when the order comes in....
