i noticed this gun in the Russell's catalog yesterday. it's a .410/45 Colt rifle. i thought that was pretty cool. i was thinking it would be a good truck gun. see a grouse, hit it with the .410. deer steps out, load up a 45 Colt and dump it.

anyone have any experience with this gun?

I have one. I love it. It has a choke for the 410 because the barrel is rifled.Just remember to take the choke out to shoot 45.The stock is hollow and i put the choke in it when I am not using it.

Great grouse gun. I throw it in my jeep and go.

I got my for 127 last year. Dont know how much they are now?

$127 dollars ? like canadian dollars ? or british pounds ? lol

Wholesale Sports lists the Harrington & Richardson survivor shotgun for $219. I don't know if they're in stock though.

I have some H&R survivor in 223 and 308 coming in next month sometime. They look pretty interesting.

K.O.

I have one of the Survivors in 223, bought it from a CGN member this fall for a predator rifle, fairly accurate, like the bull barrel. I put a NC scope on it for now and seems ok.

45 colt with a good load will kill deer and bear just fine

I had one a few years back, but quickly traded it off. It just didnt interest me much

Got one and I like it. Compact, easy to carry.
Plastic and nickle plate make for a great truck or ATV gun, tough to damage. Mine sometimes will not eject the 410's, particularly if I use Fiocchi's. I have to remember to carry a short wood dowel or my cleaning rod just in case.
It's one of the few guns I have that my under 5 ft. tall wife can handle - she really likes it.
The 45 Colt will work on deer but with a bead sight and the 45's ballistics, I'd prefer to use something different on any deer past 50 yards out.
I find that 45 Colt is sometimes hard to find and can be expensive so I stock up when I can.
Mine was @ $250 or so from Wholesale.

I bought an NEF ''survivor''in 20 guage-nickle plated, it will serve as a utility gun-potting grouse on logging roads,I figured the 20 would be better than the 410 because I could carry a few slugs in case I saw deer.Thumps though-they could improve it with some sort of recoil pad

Are there replacement butt stocks available for these, seems a little short for me and with the compartment in the butt I'm not sure how you'd extend it.

We hardly sold one of these since we've stocked them. However, at the Lloyd show it was the most popular firearm on our table. Sold every one we had and still had guys looking for more.

suvivor

Is the barrel drilled and tapped for a base? Redundant on the 410 side I know but a little more useful with the 45 Colt slug coming out of it. Thanks, Peter.
