As many of you have seen, there is an excellent F-Class bipod produced in Canada by Henry Rempel. I own one myself and i love it. The achilles heel has been the weight of these bipods, which approached 4 pounds.

John Weil of Team Savage USA has developed an offshoot of this bipod design and they have just opened-up shop. for those that are interested, the website is censhot.com This new bipod weigs less than a pound and a half.

I understand the price to be $450 US and this mounts to an Anschutz rail.

Nice...

(once I get over the sticker shock)

Henry's version is absolutly fantastic if you have the weight allowance. I see John's pod as the perfect answer to F/Tr shooters out there who need to stay under 18.2 lbs. really can't wait to get mine...

Make no mistake, I own one of henry's and I could not be happier. This is without question a rip-off of that design and to that end i am morally torn about promoting it, but the weight was always an issue and henry did not produce a model to cater to the FTR crowd, so I guess a niche exists.

Matt is bang-on in that it will allow FTR guys a better option. JW is, after all and FTR shooter

Sinclairs has one of the Ski type and they have a new item that they call the tactical/Varmint, it weighs 1lb 12oz , retails for $229,99 FS

If you lay down on a crooked mound, could you imagine how much fu**ing around you would have to do with that Sinclair to get everything level?

And it's just plain ugly.....well I think so anyway. :D

I've been shooting the Sinclair versions for the last couple of seasons. The second generation (like the one Richard has posted) works, but is nowhere close to a Remple!
