I need to lower my weight as I was 1/2 oz below max for F/TR and my new barrel being put on by Ian is a tad heavier. Bought a Star Shooter 1lb 14oz lighter than my Sinclair.
The best bi-pod I have seen is the Henry Remple my bother uses one and I have also used one, only problem with Henrys its not light.
This new Star Shooter is far more solid than the Sinclair International and locks up much better, as well and you have final adjustment with wheel thats works very good. I looked at the Generation 11 Sinclair a freind has one it nice, but not made as well as a Remple or Star Shooter,by a long shot, the extra money you have to pay quality workmanship is worth it and a plus there made by our fellow Canadian shooters in Canada.

I also need to drop some weight from my FTR rig.. i also use a Sinclair rest but if I want to go to a NightForce scope i will have to shed some weight due to the extra weight of that scope..

So... Where did you get that fine looking rest and how much?

Have you looked at the offering by centershot. They have basically a carbon fiber version of the Henry rempel ski pod and it weighs just a touch over 16 oz

I have seen the Center shot and have shot with other F/TR shooters using it
It seem to me that it possibly could have a little more flex than the Remple or Star Shooter.the fellows using the Center shot shot extreemly well, and spoke highly of rest. And they are the lightest of the Bi-pods out there that I have seen.

The Star Shooter is lighter than a Rempel. Both are very solid. The lightest one I have encountered is one is a carbon fibre one by John Weill of Team Savage. I have seen a Rempel trimmed down but not much weight lost. The Star Shooter will allow you to stay under weight. Both Rempel and Star Shooter are made in Canada, prices are similar.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Star Shooter offering in person. I've been using one for John W.'s Centershopt offerings for 2 years, and I really like it. Having said that, I do take care with it...

Does it detach easily? Just looking at the video it's attached via bolts to the rail. Doesn't have a quick detachable adapter like the Remple. This would be the only draw back.

You are right the Remple has a very nice system to attach Bi-pod to rail.
The Star Shooter like you mentioned has two screws, I bought a T bar allan key about 5" long and my freind has the Sinclair Bi-pod and for him to attach it to rail can be hard to do if you don,t get pin in right position. I can put on Star with screws faster than he can put on his Sinclair.
You do not need to turn screws very much one turn and it lets you slide adaptor right out of track, pretty slick and there are rubber o rings on screws so they stay on bi-pod. I did pick up some extra screws and o rings just incase I was to loose one at range
