New Fabarm martial proforces

a guy at the range let me shoot his, i liked it. the spring assist was cool, but i might have a diffrent opinion if i owned one and used it often. can't justify the cost though. perhaps at $600 i'd bite, but not at $850.

Hi

I have the composite model with the "regular" stock. Mine didnt come with the pic rail or the sights, just a bead sight up front. Any suggestions as to where I might pick up a piece of rail or sights?

Thanks

The Shooting Edge sells Fabarm's rail that goes with your gun. As for the sights, they are made by LPA and TSE is also an LPA dealer so they would be then ones to talk to about that as well.

I am thinking I might want a spare regular stock. Would TSE have those as well? And how hard is it to remove the stock.

They should. Give them a call. If they don't have a spare one in stock, then they definitely can get one in for you. The stock comes off easily enough; nothing too unusual.

I keep reading this gal kicks like a mule...would the weight of a heatshield help much? I've seen a version of this with a heatshield and regular stock on a local shop's website. I do like the bad-ass look of the heatshield.

I like the spring assist. I've never had a problem with it.

I also like the recoil. I have the regular stock and it is a lot of fun to shoot with 3" slugs.

I bought the plain Martial Composite for around $600 and then picked up a Proforces stock for $60 or something. I couldn't justify spending more than $660 for a rail and sights to go with it. The bead sight works fine for me. I might end up picking up a rail and a red dot or reflex sight down the road though...

I found it was a HUGE pain in the butt to change the stocks on mine. It's some weird ass bolt that holds it on. I couldn't find any tools that would remove it... I ended up using a dollar coin at the end of a pair of pliers.

For the reason that it costs me a dollar every time I want to change stocks, I may consider selling you my spare one. Send me a PM if you're interested.

that's the one I want... regular stock, heatshield and blade sight. the LPA sights are nice, but I find they stick out to much. I prefer shotguns to stay simple.
I have no clue how much one like this would go for but it should be at least a 100$ less.

The recoil isn't that bad with slugs. These are shotguns not .22's. I loved mine but sadly sold it after I couldn't justify tying up that kind of money in a shotgun. Tons of fun to shoot and the quaity cannot be beat for the price. I'd take a Proforces over a custom 870 any day of the week.
