New factory cartridge !!

Evening,
Just reading the latest Rifle mag. Hornady is introducing the .17 hornet to their lineup. Looks like a good reloadable alternative to the 17 HMR.
Wondering if anyone has experience with this cartridge. Looks like a good calling/close range coyote gun. Should be easier on fur at close range than the fast 22's.

That's a loser idea, IMHO the .17 is limited by the light weight of bullets, wind drift, and drop, the .17 Fireball reaches that limit, so I don't believe this 70 year old wildcat will cut it. They would have been better off to introduce another old wildcat the K-Hornet or the Mashburn bee, both .22s.

Usually its timed for SHOT in Jan.
