Unlike FNP-9 and FNP-40, which come with a 4" barrel, the .45 version is 4.5". Cost-wise, FNP guns are generally priced competitively with M&P and Glock. U.S. availability is early 2008. Hopefully it will be available to us, meager Canucks, shortly thereafter. Who imports FN products into Canada, by the way? R. Nichols?
I didn't think I'd be buying another polymer gun anytime soon, but I must admit that the FNP looks pretty tempting. It's a nice looking piece, relatively inexpensive and is not DAO like most other plastics. Not to mention, FN has a reputation for building quality stuff. Might have to pick one up when it becomes available.
