Saw an online article and Remington, as usual, has some good, and bad

A new limited-edition Model 700 offering from Remington, the CDL SF Limited in .30/06 Springfield, commemorates the venerable cartridge’s 100th anniversary. Its features include a stainless-steel, fluted, 24-inch-barreled action, a CDL-style stock with R3 recoil pad and an engraved commemorative floor plate. This will be the first gun in a multiyear series.

With a shorter stock and a clean 20-inch barrel, this is the perfect gift for the young shooter.

I really like the Model Seven CDL, should be a real awesome looking rifle.
The picture they show for the Sendero SF II appears to be a pic of a XCR...

I htink they'd look bvetter without such dark checkering...

That 750 is one UGLY gun.

And of cours,e the darling of the bolt aciton circuit....The Remngton Model 710.:D

I like better the CDL model also ... :D and for the Sendero pic, indeed, it look like the same stock as the 700 XCR RMEF but in synt black... beside the color, they look the same to me.. the XCR RMEF also look nice... if it was blued instead of SS.

my brother shoots a 710 in 30 06, it is a handy little rifle in the B.C. bush. I was actually quite surprised that this "budget" rifle performed so well. It is a rifle i would not hesitate to buy for my son. It was accurate and handles very well, we hunt hard and in the thick on foot and after hunting 20 days in crappy wet, cold weather my brother's 710 had no issues. Interested to hear others comments on this rifle before i dump the $$$ to set up my son for next fall's mulie hunt.

A 750 chambered in 350 Rem Mag sure would be interesting or even the "new" 338 Federal. How about a new magazine design???? still looks like the old style. All I see different in the 750 is that it appears beefier than the 7400 and by changing the name have hopefully fooled a couple people into thinking its new!

actually that sendero looks pretty good to me.

But I'm still annoyed at Remington's "canadians? we dont need no steekin canadians" comment.

Dunno if I'm annoyed enough to buy a Tikka instead.

I think the new 750 looks pretty good, and if it functions better than the 7400 then they may have a winner. I especially would like it in 35Whelen! It probably will be cheaper than the BAR.

The forend of the 750 reminds me of a Klingon Forehead! Quite possibly the fugliest rifle I've seen yet!

I could warm up to that M7 CDL stock though with my stainless 260 nestled in it... sweet little rifle.

Gord.

I've got the money already socked away... love the forend, love the caliber:eek:

The only new changes as far as I know to the 750 from the 7400 is the gas port has been shotend .75'' and nickle/teflon coated the action.I think I would wait and see it out a while before throwing some cash out for the 750.Untill its proven I would say its still the same old 7400.
