New for 2018, the vism ar/m4 blastar kit !

Oversight of functionality tends to happen when things are made to look like a pile a steaming cow crap.

Youza.

Handguard looks fine.

Restricted rifles in Canada are vanity items. For ####s and giggles. Functionality is not imperative.

Is there enough room at the rear for a BUIS? It would be rather entertaining to turn a plain norinco AR into something people might not instantly recognize.

I stopped by Tenda on the way back from the range this morning as I needed some bulk .45 and .357, got a chance to take a look at it and it doesn't look that bad in person. Would I ever buy one? No but I can see people using them. My attention got side track quickly as soon as I saw the CZ scorpion on the wall. One day that scorpion will be mine.....

Maybe not in your world but for others it's paramount.

yes because there's so many serious mall tactical operators on here, can't risk bad equipment in case of invasion of a bunch of fat kids with deadly Snikers bars.LOL

HaHaHhahahaha. I'll be one of those guys who says "I LOVE IT!" To most guys n gals I know that have restricted rifles these things are fun to play with (Lego) and mostly for show. Yes there's a number of competitors that really need them for function but I suspect that's not the target audience for this kit. I only have one AR and barely use it as it is so I likely wouldn't bother with a kit like this but I do know quite a few guys that bring stuff like this to the range just for conversation and social media pics!! Lol!

I love to take new shooters to the range and introduce them to the hobby. I have a number of guns for just that purpose that I typically don't bring to the range if it's just me. If you show a non-shooter one of these and a regular AR and ask them which they want to shoot, many of them will want to shoot this. So I say buy away my sci-fi loving friends!!! Show them off to non shooting video game loving Millennials and get them out to the range with your cool looking toys!

I'd be willing to bet those that like Tavors wouldn't be too opposed to owning something like this. :)

Oh yeah?

To whom exactly?

Would you also care to enlighten about the many uses a restricted firearm could have beyond being a range toy in Canada?

There are those who compete in 3 gun... for one. Also, some just like the feeling of having an AR properly stored under their bed for the unknown. I'd imagine functionality would be paramount for those folks. They may not ever use it but when they do they want simple functionality.

None of you seriously see that the handguard allows you to extend your short carbine picatinny rail without the need to remove the front sight post?

The carry handle and buttstock are kind of useless but the handguard gets credit where credit it due.

One edited ? I cant find where you said

I could think of a lot of "restricted" guns I would have use for outside the range is laws allowed it.

I would likely only own AR-15s and 10's...

A precision AR
A coyote Hunting AR
A Range toy SBR AR
A Big game hunting AR
A 22lr AR

Even looked into buying one of them fancy NR AR looking 12ga shot guns lol

To be direct most people who compete with AR's want functionality.

I dont know many who own very high price AR's that just use it as a range toy. Most are under 1000 bucks with 0 mods and get a range trip once a year.

Some of you guys take your selves way to seriously. This thing is cool. If you wanna dress up AR to look like something from Star Wars then have at 'er. No different from the guys that drop tones of cash to do up MK18 clones.

You had to bring our beloved Tavors into this eh..

Again, you have zero uses for an AR15 outside the range. So spare me the functionality rhetoric please.
