Hello, i am new member from NB i was wondering if their were many members from here aswell, and if their are any competitive shooting clubs around let me know. thanks
 
Hello and welcome. I'm from Nova Scotia, but that probably doesn't help much. Don't know anything about competitive shooting here or there. You can probably find out more in the forums. Enjoy the site.
 
Moncton area there are a few options. IPSC is active at the Cape Pele club just north of Shediac. Peticodiac Sportsmen club does .22 and some pistol shooting as well. Hampton has an active bullseye shooting group, (indoors), as well as some 3 gun, and IPSC club matches outdoors.

Fredericton Fish and game has IPSC and rifle shooting on their schedule (located near Mactaquac Dam), while Miramichi has been active in the past with IPSC match. Dalhousie (Restigouche gun club) is very active with rifle, and especially IPSC matches.
 
There are quite a few active gun clubs in the Province. Check out the Royal New Brunswick Rifle Association (RNBRA) web site and you will find a list of affiliated gun clubs.http//www.rnbra.ca. Minto Gun Club has shoots every second Sunday, year round. Lake George Gun Club (http://lg-gc.ca) is open all winter as well, although there are no competitive shoots until April. I've shot at Springfield, Woodstock, Petitcodiac, St. Croix, and belong to the Minto & Lake George clubs. I would recommend any of them. I believe there is a club in Sussex as well. You should also watch for the gun shows in Irishtown in the spring and Fredericton on the Labor Day weekend.
