Hi All--

Just completed the PAL and RPAL courses. Looking forward to hunting with a firearm this year. Looking forward to getting my guns. A little frustrated by all the bureaucracy but I guess that's Canada. I read the post on speeding up the PAL approval. Wish I could speed up the EE approval as well.
 
Welcome from an old salt who travelled your area extensively. Even the ghost towns to the north.:)

I saw my first pelton wheel spinning in a mountainside creek across the bridge on the shore heading to the ferry. An old gent who I picked up as he walked home from Nelson. It was early warm fall and he had all of the small house windows open to disapate the heat in the house. :D

That was 40 or more years ago. The old gent will be long gone but that mountain side tarn will still be running and perhaps the same pelton. What a great property and water rights to own!

Any way, fond memories of approaching Nelson from the south, stopping in the spring to watch a grizzly within 100 yards of the hwy eating grass.

So, a wordy welcome from an old guy.
 
where bouts in nelson are you? my grandparents used to live on Gore st, way up the mountain. Used to go there almost every summer, long time ago...
