because theyre awesome, and people are happy to get to own and shoot them at all. with all the prohibs we cant own (or shoot), and dumbass, uneducated hussies fighting every cool looking gun before it even reaches our borders, its nice to have something that people ask "Is that thing legal?"

I think that maybe firearms owners have a deep seated desire to one day say, "Fuk C-68" and actually break the unjust laws that hand over our heads.

Maybe one day firearms owners will collectively refuse to obey bad laws? And when that day arrives, we will take our AR-s, VZ's, FSN's into the Canadian forests and decimate the squirrel population while chanting "death to the tree rats"!
