new gevarm .22 magazines range report

i picked up 4 of the new mfg gevarm magazines, tried them in several gevarm rifles yesterday, total jam fest, the followers tilt and the emptys hang up in the left side of the receiver , looks like they changed the feed lips from the originals, going to dremmel the feed lips a bit and see if that helps.
 
How hard can it be to have one in your hand and make an exact copy....god, its a wonder that anything gets done right these days!!
 
its stupid that they went to the effort to tool up to build these magazines wrong, and at 50 bucks apeice u would think they would work, its not like the gevarms are overly complicated , no extractor, no ejector, fixed firing pin, how tough can it be.
 
I thought about sending some of my brand new factory 8rd and 20rd gevarm magazines to Asia and have them make copies. They might have better quality control and proper machinery to make them.

The mag lips are the ejector... maybe the mags were factory fit to work with each gun?
 
Factory magazines were not factory fitted to each gun. Gevarm short magazines work in all the guns without issue, including the Argentine copy. The 20rd magazines needs a little fitting because of the length of the magazine in the magwell.
 
I only got a 20 round factory mag with my "new" old stock that I got from Trade ex....the thing has never worked properly and Trade ex never responded to my emails....

I feel like I won Satan's lottery being the only guy dissastatisfied with Trade ex! Mostly for there lack of response......Even if they said sorry your on your own there is no dealer support I'd get it but not replying is lame.
 
Gevarm didn't mark all of their factory magazines in their last years of production. I brought 8 and 20 round magazines direct from the factory and they have no marking at all. The magazine that came in the box with the new rifles weren't marked at all.
So, when everyone thinks that the gevarm factory magazines has to have the gevarm trademark on it is totally wrong!
