Hello and welcome from the South Shore of Nova Scotia. I'm old and have been around guns a long time (at least it seems that way). No doubt you and Dave will have lots to talk about regarding whatever you decide to do with guns. Since I went through this with our daughters and my wife (our son's in the US Navy), the only advice I'd offer is to shoot enough to find what works for you and stick with that, no matter what it is. Eventually, if you decide you like them, you'll find other guns. Since I collect (certain kinds of handguns) more than I shoot, I'd be delighted to be able to correspond with another collector. Look up Teri Bryant sometime -- one of Canada's (and the world's) outstanding Nambu collectors. And if you do want to collect, start buying books.
