New Glock 43 single stack! legal in Canada?

Coming to Canada? If it does it'll look pretty stupid with a long barrel in it... I have large hands and that grip won't work for me, another Glock I will never consider.

It's got a 86mm factory barrel. To make it Canada legal I'm sure Lone Wolf & others will be along in short order with a 106mm barrel. 20mm more sticking out the front might not look all that hideous.

I've shot both Glock 26 9mm & Glock 27 .40 S&W - yeah both torque in the hands, especially if the hands are on the big side.

You guys are all jealous that you can't have one. The 26 is my most accurate Glock. The 42 is a sweet little gun, and compares very favourably to a Colt Mustang Pocketlite, another very popular carry pistol. I have stacked them in each direction, and if you're in Calgary on April 3 you'll get the chance to fire one in its original configuration at CSC "Glock Days". Touch it, see it, want it.

The 43 will eventually be available here too.

I can't wait! And I LOVE the tiny pocket guns. I continue to be amazed by them, and a well-made, well-functioning compact pistol has the same appeal as a great watch or an excellent phone. Yeah, you can't carry it, like you can the watch or phone, but if it's at home in your safe, at least you won't lose it like your watch and phone...

Yeah, not really..... :p

My palm is about 4.25" across, where do I put my last too fingers on that grip? Tiny guns have terrible ergonomics. Just not comfortable if you have big hands. Sig 226 and Beretta 92 fit me like a glove.

A guy at my gun club showed me his prohib 25auto, the trigger lock encompassed half of the pistol. Maybe a small girl could shoot it comfortably. It looked smaller than this one:

You don't need all your fingers to grip the gun, you tuck the last digits underneath. Not the most effective grip but it works. Small guns like the G43 are intended for short range social work, not daily plinking.. Cool gun, just not very practical for most of us.

I just got back from Texas where I got to try out the G42. Its not bad but feels really small, like a mini G17. I haven't shot a subcompact double stack, but I do like the 'meaty' feel of my G17, so if I were to chose a CWC pistol I would go with the double stack over the single.
