new glock MOS... can't wait!

IMHO:

-G17 (any Gen you like)
-G17 iron "suppressor" sights (Ameriglo GL429 - Brownells 100-009-854WB)-gunsmithing required to install and zero.
-Trijicon RM07 6.5MOA Red dot sight - Calgary Shooting Sports
-Dlask slide melt cut+install

This will be a superior setup to any Glock MOS offering until they offer slid melt cut for RM07.

Few RDS units will stand up to the pounding of slide mounting, pick wisely.
Gabe Suarez says there are only 3 models currently.

n.b. co-witnessed irons can be used as "training wheels" to learn the draw presentation
to quickly acquired a RDS sight picture.

I dislike iron sights on a handgun with an optic. Just too much stuff going on in my line of sight, the gun moves so fast from target to target that i just need a glimpse of the red dot, triangle what have you and squeze off a shot . I also like the extra sight picture below the target when the iron sights are removed.

How time has changed... $1100 for a Glock and you need to put a $700 sight on it... It's a bit too rich for me.

You pay for the option to add the optics, the gun still has iron sights to shoot with out of the box.

Also with the current price breakdowns, the cost of a non-MOS Glock 34 is the same as the MOS model, so why not go with the one that gives you more options?

Nice to see this thread made a bit of discussion!

After a few trips now, I'm thinking I would prefer a smaller dot. The RM05 is 9 MOA and I'm leaning towards something with 5-7 MOA. I have it up on the EE in Optics, sale or trade.

and a note about glock pricing... we are getting SCREWED by retailers in Canada due to what I see as simply marketing ability. Glock MSRP on the MOS in the brand new blue book of gun values is only $699 USD. Add ~25%, that's only $875 CAD. I paid $1150 ($1307 after tax) from Wanstall's. 1100 is the cheapest I saw at Al Flaherty's but they wouldn't even price match it because of what they said I'd have to pay for extra shipping.
