New grips for my 1911 from ZAHAL

My new Recover CC3 grips from ZAHAL showed up today along with a Fobus holster I ordered from them.
They really improve it and the price was pretty good .They offer a discount to the military as well ( I am ex military) so after the 10% discount it was $84.60 shipped.
I ordered the Olive drab version and the pics make it look a little lighter than it is.
Very easy to install.

Looks good. A flat board and some very fine emery paper will clean up the mold seams flawlessly. A quick swipe with an open flame will get rid of any "fuzzy" areas created by the sanding. My seams blended so well you can't even see them on my black set .

If I get brave, I wanted to try and do a stipple job on them.

The pic makes the seams seam worse than they actually are ...really happy with the product .

Looks good! After several hundreds of rounds, remove the grip and let us know if there are any rub/wear marks on the frame.

That's certainly, one way to get a double stack grip feel without having a double stack pistol.
