new grips...gun didn't go bang?

Hey there,

I have a NP-22. I added a set of new hogue grips to it. Love the look and feel..but after adding them the gun only fired every other or every third shot. hammer trips..but acts like a light primer strike.

anybody have any ideas?

perhaps the grips are on too tight? try backing the screws out like a quarter turn on each. i've got no clue really but thats all i could think of

Just take off the right grip panel and check how tight it is on the hammer spring and when you put the grip on see if it binds the trigger bar spring.
